Dr. Olan Soremekun is a dedicated physician, healthcare innovator, and leader with a passion for improving patient care and access. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration from Columbia University and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Harvard University (Mass General Brigham).
With extensive experience in both clinical and operational leadership, Dr. Soremekun has held key positions, including Vice Chair of Clinical Operations at Jefferson Health and Vice President of Value-Based Programs at Cigna Medicare. His expertise lies in optimizing healthcare delivery, enhancing patient experiences, and driving value-based care initiatives.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Soremekun is a devoted family man, living in Bergen County with his wife and two children. His commitment to both his family and his mission in healthcare reflects his dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those he serves.

Is NexStep membership fee covered by medical insurance?
No – NexStep works with your PCP and any other providers to offer a concierge layer of support and care. With in-home visits and an expanded team that includes nursing and coordinators both nursing and coordinators, we offer an additional level of concierge care to layer on top of your existing providers.
Can I purchase NexStep for my spouse, parents or elderly loved ones?
Working with a certified home health agency ensures safety, reliability, and quality of care. We handle all vetting, background checks, training, insurance, and compliance — so you never have to worry about liability or inconsistent care. Independent caregivers may not have standardized training or medical oversight, but with NexStep, you get a fully managed, physician-led experience and a dedicated RN navigator to oversee every aspect of care.
Does NexStep replace my primary care doctor or other providers?
Because we personally match aides to each client, issues are rare — but if a caregiver isn’t the right fit, we handle everything immediately. Our RN navigator will reassess your needs and coordinate a seamless transition to ensure you receive the perfectly matched, highly qualified aide without any disruption in care.
Why should I choose a licensed home healthcare services firm?
If you already have a caregiver you love, NexStep can seamlessly integrate them into your care plan. If your caregiver meets our certification, training, and background standards, we can hire and onboard them to our platform — ensuring they receive the same supervision, resources, and support as our hand-selected aides. Alternatively, you can maintain your existing caregiver arrangement and join NexStep as a member to gain access to the additional benefits.
